Water clover (Marsilea quadrifolia) is an aquatic fern producing clumps of leaves that can reach to 15 - 20 cm in height, at intervals along a long, creeping, much-branched rhizome. It has thin green stalks that rises from the rhizome to the water surface.The plant forms dense stands, or has a random growing pattern.
